So I just can’t get enough of this couple.  I just wanted to share a few more from their trash the dress shoot out on Sauvie Island.  They are just such a beautiful couple. Enjoy!

The Tucker Family

I had such a fun time with the Tucker family today!  I met them at their place, and we were able to take advantage of their beautiful home in Milwaukie.  We shot on their upper and lower patios, as well as in the backyard.  Amazingly the rain held out, and we were able to take their new Maserati for a spin with the top down!  It was an absolutely beautiful fall day, and I had such a great time getting to know them.

The Carraher Family

Oh my! What a CRAZY weather day for Oregon!  We started off with beautiful sunshine in the morning, that later turned to clouds in the afternoon, that then turned to a rain storm, and then 20 minutes before we were supposed to start shooting the fantastic Carraher family, we had HAIL!  Not just a little bit, but a TON!  It was absolutely nuts…BUT both myself and the Carraher family were willing to risk it, and boy was it worth it.

We had incredibly beautiful light out at Champoeg Park, and such a fun time.  We only had to bust out the umbrellas once for a 3 minute sprinkle, and it smelled SO GOOD!!!!  I had such a great time, with a sweet and super fun family.  Who knew that such a crazy day would turn out so pretty?!

Shortly after we finished up shooting the Carrahers, their extended family joined in for a little fun too.  Grandma had been REALLY wanting a family photo done for entirely too long, thus her sons obliged her.  It was fantastic!

Stephanie and Bryan: A Wedding at West End Ballroom

Posted By admin / October, 10, 2012 / 0 comments

Well, it is the last wedding of the 2012 season…and it couldn’t have ended any more beautifully.

We started out our day at The Vintage Plaza in downtown Portland where the girls were getting ready.  The room had a fantastic atmosphere, with music blasting, and the smell of perfume and hairspray in the air.  We stayed for a bit, shot and chatted, before we made our way over to the fellas.  The guys were getting ready at a nearby residence and they were doing what guys do best…watching football and drinking beer ;)  Oh, and also getting ready for a wedding!  After enjoying some great laughs, we headed out to Forest Park for Stephanie and Bryan to see each other for the first time!

It was such a beautiful moment.  They both looked stunning and Stephanie made sure to fix the back of Bryan’s collar before turning him around to see her.  It was so sweet!  They then enjoyed a few tearful moments together, kissed and hugged, and just admired each other.  After that, we rounded up the wedding party and took a few minutes out to shoot some fun group pics. We wrapped that up, and headed over to the ballroom, where we met all the family.  We took a little adventure around the block to the library and shot all the family pics on the steps.  It was a fantastic location and super entertaining, as downtown Portland usually is ;)

The ceremony began at 5, and it was incredibly romantic.  The room was glowing with candlelight and draped in white.  Candles, candles, and more candles.  It was stunning.  Afterwards, we raced the couple up to Pittock Mansion to give them a few minutes to themselves and to shoot the two of them. The sun was setting and the light was perfect.

…and the the fun began!  The reception was held upstairs and was entirely too much fun.  Food, drinks, and fabulously wonderful people.  It really doesn’t get any better.  Congratulations to Stephanie and Bryan, it was incredible.

Alesya and Oscar: Trash the Dress on Sauvie Island

All I can say is WOW.  Such an amazing couple, and oh-so-much-fun tonight.  Aleysa and Oscar drove all the way up from Klamath Falls to shoot their Trash the Dress session.  We had a blast exploring Sauvie Island, and took advantage of the absolutely amazing scenery and weather.  It is so incredible that this area is just 20 minutes outside the city…just another reason why I love Portland.

Zack: Senior Photos

I had such a fun time with Zack a few weeks back!  He is a senior this year at Sherwood High School and is such a super fun guy.  We cruised around downtown Portland and made a few stops just over the bridge.  It was so much fun, and I wish Zack all the best in the upcoming years.

New Glo Gift Certificates!

We are stoked about our new Glo gift certificates!  They have received a major face lift just in time for Christmas.  Glo certificates are a great gift for anyone whom may be wanting to schedule a portrait session for a little one, themselves, or an upcoming senior.  They are also a fantastic idea for any mom…who doesn’t love a new family portrait (I know I need one!)?

Sarah: Senior Photos

I had such a fun time getting to know Sarah last week. She is a Senior this year at Veritas School in Newberg, Oregon. I shot her brother’s senior pictures last year, and so it was so fun to get to know another member of their family. We cruised around Jenkin’s Estate which was absolutely beautiful, and Sarah was just so much fun to hang out with. She is an absolute sweet heart and I wish her the very best in her senior year.

The Haworth Family Farm

Yesterday was such an incredible afternoon.  I drove out to the Haworth’s farm with the windows rolled down, and the  smell of autumn rushing in at me.  While it was sunny and beautiful outside, the smell of the previous day’s rain and the shift in the color of the trees made it quite apparent that autumn is coming quickly upon us.

I realized at that moment, as the wind was blowing through my hair and I was gazing up at Mt. Hood, that it had been 6 months since baby Theo had been born. 6 MONTHS!  I still can’t believe it.  Man time really does fly.  I figured since Theo was born, prior the new website and blog being launched, I better give a short pictorial history of his first six months.

I mean honestly you could tell by the ADORABLE bump that Michelle that this boy was going to be a absolutely amazing.  So…back on track now.  I headed out to their farm in Canby to do a handful of 6 month pics of him and to snap some family shots of the wonderful trio.  It was so much fun to see what a bundle of happiness this little (or I should really say  BIG) guy has become.  He is really just all giggles and laughs.  He is such a joy.  Happy 6 month Birthday Theo!
